Part 1 of Making Your Own Purse

Here are the steps in Part 1 of Making your own purse:

1. Step 1 select at least 100 yards of your favorite fabrics in different colors.

2. Find a purse pattern (do a search many are available for free)

3. Get some purse handles, a metal purse fastener, a sewing needle and thread, some foam for a base

4. Check your gauage and use sufficient rows

5. After stitching together the base create the two sides

6. Perform and necessary felting

7. Add on any beads or designs

8. Sew the side and bottom seams of the bag leaving 1/2 inch for a seam

9. Attache the purse closure snap at top of lining

10. Put the craft foam at the bottom of the bag and stitch some lining above it

11. In the corders create 4 inch pleats with fabric on each side.

12. Secure handle loops
